With its gentle slopes and Far North feeling,
The Col du Marchairuz is a Jura pass in Canton Vaud, linking Aubonne close to Lac Léman via Bière or St. George with Le Brassus in the Vallée de Joux. The pass summit, altitude 1447m, is in the middle of the Parc jurassien vaudois (regional park).
To the north east of the Col du Marchairuz is Mont Tendre, at 1679 m the highest summit in the Swiss Jura and a popular hiking destination. The hike from the Col du Marchairuz to the summit leads up through a park-like landscape, a half day with a picnik and animation, will fill you with positive energy.
